Red light flashing on my gas furnace

My gas furnace is blinking red and continious, and on the back of the door its says that this means "internal control failture" so I need to know what that means. Is it one problem or a number of things I need to check? Help!

It means the control board is bad. The board that the blinking light is on. You Can turn the power of going to the system for a few seconds and then back on to try and reset it, if you get the same code you will need to replace the control board.
