Maybe you guys can help me. My heater will come on for about a minute or so, then kick off for about 30seconds and repeats this cycle. I have replaced the 2 contacts as I was told that might be the problem. Still does the same thing. I have cleaned the a-coils,. etc... as well...

Any suggestions... Gonna get cold soon LOL

You need to find out which control is dropping out of the circuit allowing the unit to turn off.

A quick test suggestion. Turn on the fan so it runs all the time then turn up the thermostat to make the heater section turn on after fan is running. By doing this I am trying to eliminate the limit switches from overheating if a fan switch is the problemand also making sure the fan motor is operational.

    Wiring diagrams are above.

If you have the optional blower relay package this diagram will work.

I don't have the optional relay on the fan. Just the one round capacitor as far as I know. I will try the fan on, then turn on heat and see what that does. Now, if the heat works what would my next step be? I take it you think that is it overheating and turning off.. Could be it I'm not sure. Also I will check contunity of the small limit switches that are attached to the heating elements... wires unplugged. I was told each wire shold have 24v. Im not getting that at the connecttors. Even with the elements ON, I can't get 24v. Ill try it again tonight when I get home. I might have done it wrong. But its not rocket science to chek 24v with a meter, but then again I don't know lol. Ill re-post when I know more.

    Thanks

OK I turned on the fan, then the heat and damn the heat stayed on.

I noticed too that the fan alone blows a lot harder than when I turn on just the heat/fan.

So I guess what's my next step. Replace another gadget? More testing?

Least I know now I can get the heat ON, I just can leave it on all night... thats a plus side..

I provided all the wiring diagrams so you can test the components to see which one has failed and does not allow the blower to come on which in turn might be tripping a limit causing the heater to cut off.
