noma thermostat 52-2558-8 can't turn on hear

Noma 52-2558-8 programable thermostat

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have just installed this new thermostat to replace an old non programable one.
I have a gas furnace, no air conditioning, my old thermostat have five wires
Red, Green ,black ,white and orange.
I connect wire:

RH(red)connected to RH terminal

RC(black)connected to RC terminal

Y(orange)connected to Y terminal

G(green) Connected to G terminal fan relay

W(white) Connected to W terminal heating relay

and remove the jumper between the RC and RH terminal on the thermostat.
When I set temperature low than current temperature Heat will not come on(old thermostat heat and fan will turn on at same time) but the heat symbol on the thermostat is flashing, when I switch fan from AUTO to ON, fan began work, but heat still doesn't work.
I also checked furnace power turn on.

anybody can give me advice?

Thanks a lot

Read the sticky notes at the beginning of this board. many times the color code was changed by the original installer. You will have to trace the colors back to see exactly where they go on the furnace. Just for a interesting experiment reverse the RH and RC wires. This will switch the 24 volt legs of the transformers. That might just do the trick.

Go to the furnace and note which wires are connected to R and W. Connect the same wires to RH and W. Swapping the black and red will only work if the black is connected to R at the furnace.

I went to the furnace and found 5 wires are connected to 4 terminals "W"(white wire), "G"(green wire), "Y"(orange wire), "H"(red wire)and that red wire with a black wire jonin toghter turn to 2 wires(red wire and black wire) go to thermostat.
I just want to know black wire(RC)connect to terminal "RC" and red wire(RH) connect to terminal "RH" is right or not.
Do I need to insert the jumper between terminal "RH" and"RH" on thermostat?

Thanks a lot
