    Mears thermostat
I have a late 60's home with electric coil heating in my ceilings. Each room has their own thermostat, my master b. room came on unexpectingly last week. What kind of thermostat will I need to get? It is heat only. I will tell you I am ignorant to any kind of electric problems. I just don't know what kind of thermostat or where to get one. I can not find Mears any where.
    Thank you

Your system probably runs on 120 or 240 volts. In some respects you need to find out the exact voltage you are using for that system then you will need to know weather it is a single pole or dubble pole style thermostat. Without the proper information it just turns into a guessing game and I am sure you do not want to go that route.

Thanks for getting back to me... When I took the cover off it has on it:
    Model M7
    22A 125, 250, 277 vac
    Single line break
Not sure if this helps out. I plan to remove the thermostat and take it to a local electrical dealer.

As I said thank you for your time.
