Maple Chase Thermastat

My thermastat was flashing LOBAT (low battery?) so I put in two new fresh batteries and it is still flashing LOBAT. Should I have turned it OFF first? How do I fix it?

Were the batterys you used good ones? Did you put the batters in correctly? Were the contacts in the thermostat clean where the batterys fit?
Usually if the battery is good the thermostat will not signal low bat.

Remove the cover and look for a very small button (reset) it was on most of the models, and the position of it moved on a few models. Good luck

kbhowell agrees: I found the reset button and it solved the problem. Thanks for the help!!!
