Hello I have a very old Sears model floor furnace that needs the 2 thermostats (part of the furnace not the one on the wall) replaced. Any ideas where I can find them?
No I do not know where you might find what you are looking for but I do know that those old furnaces can be changed so that they will work with a thermostat on the wall, if you might want to do that.
I may have a whole furnace for parts. I just pulled mine out. It is about 40 years old and is a kerosene floor furnace by Sears. It worked fine the last I used it. email me if interested.
The thermal disks or thermostatic control disks are available after market. The disk or control will have numbers on it usually indicating the temperature of operation and part number. Post the numbers here or call a local supply house for replacements. In most cases it is smart to obtain used parts since you have no idea if they are good or damaged.
