Intertherm baseboard makes popping noises

I recently bought a house and there is a 9 foot intertherm baseboard heating unit the model number is Ebh2000-24, Appliance # b002255438. My problem is that when it kicks on the popping noise and creeking is very loud. I would appreciate any suggestions
