Hunter vs. Honeywell

Just purchased a new house that has two heating/cooling systems. I need to install programmable thermostats. Comparing Hunter to Honeywell, which one is the better company to go with?

I am not that familiar with either one. I do see a bunch of questions here on both of them from people that can't figure out how to make them work. This is especially so with heat pumps. If I was buying one, it might come down to which one came with directions I could understand, and which one used the same terminals as my heating plant. Which dealer seems to be willing to explain things to a DIY would be a factor.

Do a search here on the specific model numbers you are looking at. If a lot of people's questions didn't get answers that solved the problem, buy the other. There is one Honeywell model several people had probledms with. I am not like Tom in plumbing, tkrussel in electrical, or Labman in dogs.
