How do I replace the wick on my KeroHeat CV2200 Heater

I need to replace the wick in my kerosene heater. I inherited it from my mother-in-law about 8 years ago and now it gives off black smoke when I burn it. Other sources online say that the wick needs changing. Purchased a wick from Lowe's but no installation instructions came with it. The heater is a Kero Heat model CV2200. |
