Honeywell: "factory set function 37"????

Honeywell thermostat, model CT3600. Does anyone know what "factory set function 37" does in the setup menu. Default is 0 out of a possible range of -3 to +3. The manual says leave this unchanged at 0, but my hunch is it changes the set point tolerance (how close to the set point the temp must be before the system shuts off). In case you're wondering why I may want to change this, I'm looking for a way to prevent "short cycle times" with my AC by expanding the set point tolerance. I can always experiment, but looking for some info first. Thanks.
