My heat pump compressor unit is currently attached to the exterior foundation of my house by way of two brackets. I want to relocate the compressor to a purpose built pad a bit further from the house. I am planning on attaching the compressor to the pad using a neoprene isolator at each corner. I will have a qualified hvac specialist disconnect and reconnect the unit.

My question is - what is the best way to fix the compressor to the pad? Using neoprene isolators or just bolt the compressor feet directly to the pad. The compressor is a Fidgidaire FT3BC-48, and there will not be any stand between the compressor and the concrete pad.

Here is a suggestion: Browse the MSC Big Book

Attach to outdoor unit only. Note that it doesn't have provisions for leveling. The capacity needed is 1/4 the weight + A safety factor of (20% or so) the unit since each leg carries 1/4 of the total weight.

Generally the compressor is isolated in the unit. The fan usually is too so there is usually no need. The manufactuer may have spacific feet available.

I`ve never seen or heard of anyone fixing or bolting a condenser to a pad, they just sit there as said before the compressor and motor are mounted inside the unit and this is all that is needed
