Goodman heating unit problems

Hello, I have a Goodman

heating unit in the house that I moved into model GPM100-4.
When the exhaust fan comes on to clear out the system before the unit will fire up. It makes a clicking sound. I have learned that it’s trying to pull a vacuum from the exhaust fan to a safety switch. If I suck on the vacuum hose it will make the switch and the clicking stops unit runs fine. If I don't, it may click fifty times or click until it times out. I have replaced the pressure switch, hose and fan, but still has not changed anything. Just wonder if anybody else has seen this?

I have read your other post and have check everything for an obstruction. The hose, the pressure switch, and where the hose attaches to the exhaust fan. I took off the exhaust vent and checked it, it's clear and even tested it with the vent off and it still had the same issuses.

Might this be an issue with the mother-board cutting out a motor relay before the motor gets started?

Ok, I changed the pressure switch and it still clicks about 50 times to start the fan

. I can still suck on the rubber hose and the fan starts right up. What should be my next step?

Tim, you say it's a house you moved into....How old is the furnace and has anyone changed or touched the furnace flue? Eric

The furnace is about 4 years, this is my second winter in this house. As far as the flue, I have taken it off and ran it with out it to see if this changed anything (only for a short amount off time and then put it back on) but even with the flue off it's doing the same thing. If it's doing it without the flue, would that show that the flue is not blocked.
Last winter it made the clicking sound three or six times to start up. I just thought that was bad. now it can do it for 2 or 3 minutes, before I get off my butt and go suck on the pressure switch hose. it's kind of a running joke with my faimly, but it's starting to suck(haha). I'm afraid that it's going t leave us without any heat some day soon.

Have you identified just which component is clicking? Sometime you can tell if a relay is chattering by holding your hand on it. Note, sometimes relays have hot contacts on or around them.

Have you tried a new rubber hose?
