    Getting hot in here.
My condinser unit is not running, I've checked the breaker box, gfi, cleaned the filter, checked the fan blades to see if they were seazed up, there not, I see no leaks,
As of now I've turned the cooling off and I'm running the fan,
    What else could it be?
I've got a little back ground in hvac, but it all in preventive maintenance,

Sounds like the low voltage going to the outside unit is not working or a safety device in the outside unit is tripped.

If you have a tester trace the low voltage in the outside unit. There should be 2 wires from inside that have 24 volts across them. Then follow that circuit around all the devices unitl you find a break in the voltage. This will tell you which component is defective or not operating properly.

Thanks for the replys , I checked to see if I had power to the disconect and I had 220, I turned the cooling on and it did pull the contactor in to start the compressor , but all I get was a hum sound,

If the contactor pulled in you have 24 volts. Your capacitor is bad. Replace it with one of the same value. One way to test this is to give the fan an manuel start with a stick or long screw driver. If it starts up, sure side cap is bad. Use caution when doing this. Safety first.

If you have 230 volts at the L1 and L2 of the contactor do you have 230 volts on the T1 and T2 side of the contactor when it is closed and calling for cooling. If you do not have the same voltage leaving the contactor it's a bad contactor. If you do have the same voltage, It may be a run capacitor. Ether or they are cheap and easy parts to replace.
