    Furnace Blows Out Cold Air
I own a duplex and my tenants upstairs claim the furnace is blowing out cold air. I had the thermostat replaced and they said it helped but it still blows out cold air at times. I asked them if they had the heat up high and the furnace needs to cool down and they said no. I'm wondering if the furnace and vents need to be cleaned. If so, can I do that myself or do I have to hire someone? Where do I look to see if they do need to be cleaned?

Cleaning the air vents will not cure the problem. Check to make sure the air filter is clean. You did not give any info on what type of unit,Brand, exact model number so I can be of no further assistance.

Gas furnace blows cold air [ 10 Answers ]

Hi. I have a gas furnace, not sure of the brand. It is blowing cold air. When I watched it go 'on' before, here's how it generally works - the pilot light ignites, then generally several seconds later the furnace 'catches', makes a low rumble and starts sending warmer air through the vents. ...

Furnace blows cold air [ 3 Answers ]

Yesterday my furnace stopped heating my home. It is 3 years old & I did some minor troubleshooting. The filter is not clogged and the blower is circulating air normally. I checked inside the unit & the ignitor coil is heating and starting the gas jets burning, but they shut off after about 10...
