    Constant LED on diagnostics but.
... not sure why? I was troubleshooting an obvious ignitor failure on my Carrier furnace due to lack of heat, but while trying to create a cycle with another heat source it seems I've grounded out something causing a nice electrical pop, thus giving me a failure "refer to twinning kit instructions", obviously I have to replace the ignitor, but what about the current error?? Any quick help is greatly appreciated!:(

    ((electrical pop)).

You are going to have to trace down that problem on your end. It could be many things but you might check the fuse on the circuit board if so equipped.

You are getting a twinning error? If there is nothing touching the twinning terminal on the board, or it you did not change any dip pin setting you may have created an internal short on the board and it will need replaced.

Yeah, what I assume is a "twinning error", by using the diagnostic led, it's flashing rapidly. "Electrical pop" was putting it lightly, I definitely let the smoke out somewhere, turning what I'm guessing a $20 repair into a multiple hundred, and not happy about it. I attempted to light the gas manually with a zippo bbq lighter and abviously grounded out somewhere. Any idea what a main board for the system would run? The board looks fine, don't see any carbon, and the fuse on the board is still good. The error occurred just after reseting the breaker.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good system diagnostics tool that can be d/l from the web. I need one that will run at boot as I can't get windows onto a computer I am trying to repair. Preferably something that stress tests the system as well. Thanks.

Guys.. I've noticed with Vista that the L.E.D on your flash drive won't turn off even after you stop the device! Unlike XP I would agree. Anyone with similar view?

Goodman GMH8 heating unit - LED Led flash 4 times [ 4 Answers ]

Hi, I have just recently bought a Goodman GMH81155CNAG gas heating furnace. I find the manual is very unhelpful as far as diagrams and explanatory. The problem that I am having is when I closed the doors for the furnace, the heat would stop and only the blower running. The LED would flash...
