Coleman Presidential 2, electric seems to overheat
    Hello all,
I just moved into a mobile home with a Coleman Presidential 2 electric furnace.
The elements are getting red hot and the fan isn't coming on. What I noticed is the elements reach a brightness of red becoming very hot and then cool down. After a few seconds they get hot again without the fan coming on. This cycle continues and the outside of the furnace becomes very hot... to hot to hold my hand against it. I know this is not good!! Eventually the fan comes on but there seems to be a distinct odor of overheating when that happens. The fan seems to be operating fine when it is operational.
I think the furnace is old but it doesent seem as if there are many parts so I am reasonably certain I can repair it myself if I know what to look for.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Did you find out what the problem was Jim? I have a Presidential by Coleman and it seems to be having the same problem. I can't find any easily available solutions yet. I am confident that I can fix the problem myself as well.

Any suggestions or answers would be much appreciated
