Coleman Evcon electric furnace

I have a Coleman Evcon electric furnace in a mobile home I rent. Recently a wire had burned off which caused it to produce no heat. After they sent a repair man to work on it I now seem to not have as much air force coming out of the registers. Also it takes 20 minutes to raise the temperature one degree. Surely this couldn't be right. My electric bill was triple this month. I realise it has been colder but I have my thermostat set for 69 during the hours I am up and at home and 60 for the night hours I am sleeping. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

They could have cut off one of the heat elements which would cause the heater not to put out as much heat but the electric bill would be no different.

There will be no miracle for your bill. Electric furnaces are very expensive to operate and as it gets colder will cost more.

Sorry but there is no cure for the problem except to make sure all the windows doors etc are sealed correctly.

Did they replace a part on your furnace? Usually when a wire burns out it is due to a short and too much current traveling through the wire which heats it up. If you get on partsdirect and use the diagram to show which part the wire was going to, replacing this part "may" take care of the problem (if the service tech was not smart enough to replace it all ready, due to the short is should have been precautionary).
