Central Heat and Air not blowing air at all

Hello,
I am a girl trying to save myself a little money and maybe embarrassment before I call someone out to look at my a/c problem. You know, trying to avoid the fact that I all I had to do was plug it in...ha/ha.

I just moved into an apartment, everything was fine until all of a sudden I noticed the rooms were feeling hot. I checked the thermostat which was set on 75 but the temp was creeping up to 80. There is no air coming from the vents. When I turn the switch to "fan on", nothing happens. When I turn the switch from "cool" to "heat" still nothing.

So far all I've tried is changing the batteries on the stat and flipping the breaker. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Joanie

When you switch the fan on does it make any noise compared to when it's set to off?

In my limited experience, every time i've had a problem with central air & heating it's due to a clogged filter. Take it out and see if it needs to be replaced.
