Central A/C fan does not kick on

The main blower fan in my furnace unit tries but doesn't turn on. It hums like it's trying but doesn't kick on. Any ideas on the problem and fix? Thanks

you could try replacing the capacitor for the motor if not the capacitor then your probably looking at a new motor. Good luck, Mike

Thanks for the answer. The capacitor is the silver 2 inch square unit in the front with a couple of wires coming out of it, right?
