You have to explain a little better what happened and what you did. Is the furnace flipping the breaker,What turned on the thermostat??

The furnace never blew the circuit either did the thermostat. Just by flipping the circuit on and off the thermostat went back on. It is a nonprograble digital carrier thermostat. Idid remove the cover and checked all the connections, semmed fine.

Bad wire connections on either Red or common wire or a bad thermostat. Is it hard wired to the furnace? Or does it have batteries?

Carrier thermostat [ 1 Answers ]

My carrier thermostat was working, but then fan ran continuous. Checked thermostat, not lit. Book says internal power source, not battery, could this have given up, even with power still on? Is this renewable or do I need a new thermostat? It is 10 years old. Thanks
