My condenser quit working. The contacter engages and make humming noise but fan and compressor wont start. Any ideas on what the problem is. Thanks
You need to be sure you have 220/240 volts on both sides of the contactor when pulled in. Check fuses and breakers in the disconnect outside and also in the main breaker panel in the home.

I get 220/240 when thermostat is off, but when on all i get is humming noise and no reading.
