    A/C capacitor
    My capacitor has "40+5uF 4400" is that the same as "5/40MFD 440v"?

    It seems that the capacity numbers have been transposed. For all intent and purpose it should be the same BUT the design might be different. To be sure I would compare the physical size and use a capacitor checker to verify true operating values.
