Burners ignite then shut of unexpectedly.

Age of equipment: 5 Years
Brand (Manufacturer): RUUD Silhouette II
Efficiency: 80%
Natural gas, Induced-Draft Blower
Furnace only inside unit

What does it do? not do?
First thought it was the thermostat and replaced it but am still having intermittent igniting of the burners. If I turn the power on and off several times eventually the burners ignite and stay lit. Some times they will light and stay lit for only a minute or less then shut off and the fan continues to blow. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

I am no expert but had the same problem you had about a week ago and posted almost the exact same question. The answer I received was that my flame sensor was probably dirty. Easy job! Took it out and cleaned it with some steel wool and now works fine. Look at the sticky at the top of this forum for flame sensor. Hope this helps.
