Boiler heater problems

When I turn on my heater it make a loud banging sound on the pipes, I have repaired the heater 2 times. At first they emptied the tank and adjusted the pressure, then the second time they installed a pressure regulator (not sure if correct name?), and the third time they said there's a leak causing the water to boil and casuing the banging sound, they suggested a new boiler. Any suggestions of what could possibly be the problem, or should I just change the whole heating system.

Dearly Beloved...We are gathered here today to talk about your plumbing problem.
You didn't state what type of heating system you have installed in your home but I experienced banging pipes before and there was air in the line that needed to be purged out. Quit simple and quiet!
What type of system you have would be helpful.
