Bleeding air from a hot water baseboard heating system

Asked Jan 4, 2009, 06:10 AM — 1 Answer
When my furnice turns on there is a lot of loud gurgling of water heard in all the water lines for my hot water baseboard heating system. It is getting worse and worse. As with so many people nowadays we just don't have money to call in a professional to help. Is there an easy fix for this problem? It has gotten so loud that it is waking me up during the night. HELP!

Make sure the boiler water pressure/altitude is at least 12 pounds then start bleeding the baseboards while making sure the boiler water pressure stays at least 12 pounds. It may take awhile.
