air condition

ok i live in a mobile home in oklahoma its been 100 pluse here last couple weeks and i noticed the other day my unit way making a scretching sound everyonece in a while then today it was a long scretching that didnt stop so i felt the air vent and it was blowing hot air so turned the unit off...and also my unit has not really kicked off during the day this last week intell around dark... help me....thanks

As far as why the unit cut off I cant really help you there, but considering the heat lately its not uncommon for the unit to run constantly.

my fan blade will not turn while my unit is on ,it blows hot air out...and also ive ben reading threades but i need to know what the tearm for alot of the words used in talking about a problem like what is the compreesor and where is it and the other parts in ac unit help broke till thursday and very hot need tips on what to check....thanks hot hot in oklahoma

which part was making the noise outdoor ( condenser- fan/ compressor) or the indoor ( evaporator and fan)
