Air Cond Condenser Fan Motor Wiring
Does anyone know? I have two black wires on my outside condenser fan that are no different that hooks in to a black wire and a white wire coming out of my new fan motor. Can they be swiched? If not I don't know how to tell which wire to hook the black and white up to. Also it has a brown and a brown with white stripe that I know goes to the capacitor.

The motor should have a wiring diagram line 1 and line 2 could be black and white,, ensure that the motor is 230 volts and rotation is the direction you need before installing

If the old fan motor has a black and white wire and these wires are connected as follows: one black wire from the old motor connects to one of the black wires and the white wire connects to the other black wire, then make a note of which wire the white one is connected to and connect the white wire from the new motor to that same wire. Connect the black wire from the new motor to the remaining black wire. Connect the two brown wires to a new capacator, and the two rowns should be the only wires on the capacitor.
