AC blower hangs

I have a Heil AC and gas heat system. The compressor is located outdoors and the remainder of the system is in the attic. The problem is that sometimes the blower continues to run after the compressor has stopped and the delay time has expired. The compressor will not restart and the blower will run forever. Cycling AC power to the controller board corrects the problem. I have replaced the furnace controller board and the thermostat. The problem still exists. Any suggestions are appreciated. This problem makes it hard to leave for an extended time without someone checking periodically to make sure it is running correctly.

sometimes the compressor stops and is restarted too quickly, this will cause it to stall, and resetting the board will initiate a time delay. allowing pressures to equalize and start up is easier

The blower motor in the attic. I replaced the control board and I thought everything was OK, but it hung just before I was about to leave for 3 weeks! As it turns out it has not hung since. I took apart one of the blower motor relays on the old control board. The relay contacts are very pitted. I suspect this is the problem. I bought new relays from Allied so I can have a spare control board. The relays sure seem to be undersized for the application. I guess I could get bigger relays and hang them from the board. I adden a photo attachment of the contacts. Hope that works.
