muffled hearing

Hello. I am deaf in one ear and have had repeated episodes of blocked/muffled hearing in my good ear. It has been happening every 2-3 weeks and it lasts for 2 days (going on for several months). It has also happend over the past several years but only occassionally. I have been to an ear specialist and have had my hearing tested before and during an episode. My ears have been found clear nad basically there is no more hearing loss. For the past week I have been taking a steroid, A steroid nose spray, Singulair, and I am doing nasal irrigation (with a bulb) using a salt and baking soda solution. My ear/s (can't be sure if the deaf ear is blocked) are worse than ever. Oddly enough I am able to hear well every other day. My ear/s is blocked on the alternative day. I have to wait a month to have a 90 minute procedure done to see if this involves my inner ear. I am very frustrated. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you for your time. Janine

Hello Janine,

I think i have the perfect solution for you! My doctor recently recommended Nasopure, a nose wash. It is very user and kid friendly and from what i have seen it is the best nasal irrigation system by far. It can help thin mucus in the nose and sinuses which can help with your hearing. I am not a doctor, so i can't diagnose you, but from what it sounds like this product will help flush out the waste and mucus which could be blocking the passages that help you hear. Their website is very informative and it will tell you all you need to know about this product. I have personally talked to doctor hana, the inventor of Nasopure, and she is a great help and will answer any questions. Her number is 573-999-0450. I hope this will benifit you and good luck with your hearing.
