Is a group insurance policy primary over an individual insurance plan?

More info needed,

Normally there is a clause within the policy itself that will tell.

And why do they have two plans.

Does one cover more than the other ?

It will depend on the state you live in, and their specific insurance laws, the actual policies, their exact type, and their provisions.
