You need to either call your insurance carrier and ask them or read whatever paperwork you were given when you received your insurance. Not all health insurance covers free eyeglasses. You usually have to get a seperate policy for Eye Care and then the eyeglasses are not free - they are sometimes 60/40 or 70/30. I declined an Eye Care policy as I figured out that I would be ahead if I bought my own glasses at WalMart instead of using their plan and going to (insert name here) and paying their high prices and then having the insurance plan "chip in" their portion for the glasses. Not worth the annual premium I had to pay in advance just to get a "discount". Ha! Some discount. Try $80 for a year's policy - then I could get their happy discount from the high priced frame places. I figured out I'd save money and pay for them myself. I did figure out I'd save around $60+ for exam and glasses versus their "plan".

I agree, your vision insurance is most likely a different carrier as most insurance companies sub-contract their vision and dental out to other companies. Call the 1-800 number or local number on the back of both cards and inquire there. If they can't figure it out for you then you need to talk to your boss at work/human resources/accounting/whoever deals with health insurance at your place of employment.

Also, like Twinkie says it may just be cheaper to go to a retail vision place.

Please feel free to ask any additional questions.
