Frequent Urination

Dear all,

I need help! Please continue to read on...

I'm 19 this year, female. Recently, I began to realize that I dehydrate sometimes due to not taking in the minimum requirement of water everyday. In fact, I do not consume a lot of water. Probably just 2-4 cups of plain water per day. I hardly drink other liquids too.

Because of this, I think that's why I tend to have bad breath. And now, each time I consume any form of water, it seems like my body is unable to absorb it. I will start urinating about half an hour later, and then return to the bathroom AGAIN and AGAIN after the first trip. I don't know why, my bladder seems empty after going to the toilet each time, but after a while I'll have the urge to pass urine again.

Sometimes there is a huge amount passed out, but sometimes just a little.

Because of this, I'm so worried that I'll be unable to find the toilet when I'm outside, and especially when I'm in the movies...

Am I having some bladder / kidney problem? Please advise.

You are definitely having bladder problems from not drinking enough water or liquids each day. Your body is definitely dehydrated which can cause your body all sorts of problems. You may definitely have worse problems the more you let this go on. Start drinking more liquids a day. This is very important to help your body flush out toxins the body has eliminiated from your system. Your kidneys and liver will definitely benefit from the extra liquid intake.

As for the going several times in the same hour try drinking some cranberry juice diluted with water (1/2 juice to 1/2 water). This will help "heal" your bladder problems. It's best to drink this diluted juice rather than trying to drink it full strength especially if you are not drinking enough liquids every day.

If you continue to have these urinary problems after a week or more of drinking much, much more liquids please see your doctor as you may have inadvertently damaged your insides by not drinking enough liquids. You may be seriously dehydrated as well and that condition takes several days of really drinking a lot of liquid to rectify.
