how do I transfer data from old hd to new?

I have installed a larger hd in my computer and I want to transfer all the data from the old one but do not know how. Please help.

OK if it's just data, such as music, pictures, etc, then its a simple case of copy and paste will do the trick.

Just open your new HDD and go from there.

If she installed a new one I assume the old one is out, unless you are running a master and slave drives. In order for you to transfer the data curly ben is talking about, you would have needed to back up the data on your old hard drive? Did you do that?

Hello,

Congragulations ! It's very simple...keep ur first HDD as primary, and ur second HDD as secondary and turn the PC ON . Check if the new HDD is detected in the BIOS. If YES then let the PC boot to Windows, Go to My Computer..then u will get ur old HDD as C Drive.. and your New HDD as the following Drive Letter.. Just Copy the Contents from the old HDD and Paste it to the New one.....
