| The reason some of your hair turned out red/orange was because you had some white hair. As you have roughly around 30% white hair. You will need to mix 25-30% your natural base colour with the target shade. A base colour is the one with the 0 at the end of it such as 4/0 (black), 5/0 (dark brown), 6/0 (medium brown), etc. So let's say for an example you need to use 30mls of colour, so 25-30% of that mixture should include your natural base shade, and the rest should be the target shade. And then 30mls of 20 volume peroxide (6% strength). I know it's a bit confusing!
As you've already coloured your hair and got some unwanted tones, you will need to strip it out. Perhaps with a colour remover. Please, if you can, go and see a professional. |
