Yeah I'd go to a salon, just tell them what you want, but it's going to be a LOT more expensive. You could go to Sally's and ask them, or get bleach, but it's going to turn yellow or orange before it turns blonde. You could bleach it until it's blonde yellow and then put a white toner on it

It depends how light you want it. If you want it like a bleach blonde go to a salon it is the hardest going from a dark color to a real light color without a toner.

You didn't mention what hair color you are trying to achieve. If your desired color is brown or auburn you can use a hair color remover to strip the current color then re-color your hair. In order go lighter or blonde, you will need to lighten your hair with bleach and then apply the desired color. Anthing other than that will result in a brassy red/orange shade. Hair bleaching should be attempted only by a professional. So if you're thinking about going blonde, please go to a salon and have the process done professionally.

For stripping or bleaching I would go to a salon, cause you're hair will probably turn out brassy. I have shoulder-length hair. I had 2 color dyes done and a hair cut, it cost me 105
