How do I put dye over my bleached hair at home?
Ive read answers to a similar question on here, and they were all great and helpful, but I don't know where to find these products or how to do any of this. I do my hair bleach blonde on top and black underneath, I want to change the blonde to a burgundy. I want to do this in the comfort of my own home haha. I really hate it when other people do my hair. Ive only had terrible experiences with that. I'm tired of the breakage and want to stop bleaching my hair but don't know how to do that if I can't put the dye over my bleached hair. HELP! If I were to use semi-permanant dye and do it twice (each quite a while apart) would this work? People have said to use color filler but I don't know what it is or where to find it. Help please =)

Bleaching your hair is very damaging. The breakage is that or they could have left it on too long. You can color over the bleached hair... but if its damaged I would as you said use a semi permanent.

Going Lighter to Darker in one step is OK.

Going to Dark to Light you would need to bleach. Then you would apply the desired color.

So basically, your ready to go dark.

Read the instructions, you may need to have the dye on longer before rinsing it out.

Defintely use a semi permanenet, but I'm going to warn you, it won't hold. No matter how hard you try it won't hold because all of the keratin and things that make up the inner structure of hair are removed with excessive bleaching... You will be coloring your hair once a week to have any kind of color retention. Using a filler is definitely going to help... you buy color and color fillers at a beauty supply store ( here we have Sally's) , also using a good reconstructor before and twice a week after you color.

Use a Color safe shampoo and conditioner! That will help with the fading.

Ive bleache my hair a year ago then died it black the same day because I was teased. The color never faded so yeah some people are lying. Just do your roots every month like any other time lol. Im bleaching my hair now and it's a very light blond and I'm going to but black under it so maybe ill post a picture when its done to show you it won't turn green.
