    Hello Tiny,

Unfortunately color doesn't lift color, also, black is a very hard color to get rid of.

The only ways to get rid of the color is to either bleach it or strip it.

Bleaching causes more damage then stripping.

If I were you, I would go to a salon and have a stylist just look at your hair. Let him/her feel and see the condition that your hair is in as of now, because your hair may be too damaged to do any thing to it right now.

Was your hair done at home or at a salon?

Considering that there is damage to your hair, and that you are losing a lot on a daily basis, I wouldn't do anything else that will contribute to more damage.

It's hard for me to judge, because I can't see your hair, so I don't know how many inches has the soft brown and how many inches has the black.

Your gaol is to make it all one solid brown color, so that every 5 or 6 weeks you can just retouch the gray roots.

That being said, I would still go to a salon and a stylist look at your hair.

Also, you mentioned that you did have it done at a salon, how come they didn't rectify it when it happened? This is something that they should have fixed.

Unfortunately I live in a town where people offering services are not always strictly proffessionals :(
