67 Answers I have really blonde hair and have never dyed it before. I thought it would be fun to put a red streak in my hair for the summer. Internet how to's said that the dye should come out in two to three washes. Now that summer is almost over I've tried everything to try and get it out. Baking soda, dishsoap, head and shoulders, laundry detergent, I even tried household bleach! Nothing has worked! PLEASE HELP

That is about 5 months, several washings, and a coloring with hair dye that it has survived. I wish I could figure out how to get it out too! Sigh. | | | I just dyed my hair too and then decided i didnt like the color so i decided to take a combination of peoples ideas and i found mine works AMAZING! take a cup run EXTREAMLY hot water then fill the cup to the top then take the strand of hair and soak it in it untill you see the color of the dye turn the water but i find it most helpful to put dish soap in the water it helps more than just the hot water! | | | | New Member | |

If you decide to do your hair with Kool-aid, only soak it for like, 5-10 minutes. Then it wont last as long. But i soaked mine for like 45 minutes, and my hair is dark brown, and it's not budging to come out. So, I wouldnt recommend doing it! | | | | New Member | |
