| | | how can i get this black hair dye out of my hair? well i dyed my hair black about a month and a half ago with revlon [natural blue black]and last night i dyed it with loreal feria [chocolate cherry] but the color only took at the roots and the rest of my hair is still black.
i know its probably because, like everyone says 'black hair dye is hard to get out of your hair' but i thought since i was using another dark color that it would work, unfortunetly i was wrong
i want to get all the colors i've dyed my hair stripped out completely [auburn, red, black], basically everything so i can start all over and dye my hair the [chocolate cherry] that i wanted
only thing is, HOW DO I STRIP BLACK HAIR DYE FROM MY HAIR WITHOUT DAMAGING IT OR MAKING IT DRY?????? | | | | | | |

| you cant strip hair without damage, further damage occurs with another dye, and then you probably will not be happy with that, and try all over again! I dont know why women insist on abusing what god gave them. |

| Tickle, Titaiiztha1 did not come here to be ridiculed. If you continue to make any more inappropriate comments in the Beauty & Skin Care forum, I will delete your posts and you will be given a warning.
Titaiiztha1, if your hair is black, using another dark color on your hair will not make it the color you want. Color does not lift color. If you use chemicals on your hair, it will cause some damage.
In order to remove the unwanted color from your hair, you will need to chemically strip it. You could end up damaging your hair if you do it yourself. Please consider going to the salon and get it profesionally done. Most salons have quality hair color removers. They will be able to strip the color from your hair then apply your desired color. |

| Pretty Lady, I am sorry you feel that I was ridiculing and my comment was inappropriate. I dont think I am guilty of ridiculing our new member. I notice she didnt take offence to my comment because she didnt believe any was given.
I just happen to have a very strong opinion of women ruining a lovely head of hair with dye, over dye, over dye. Many procedures are reversible but damage to hair is not. While ruining hair, they are also ruining their chances of having a healthy scalp to grow more hair.
If you must reprimand me, then do so. |

| Unlike previous answers, i am not going to ridicule you!
I had black hair underneath and in front. You do NOT have to go to a salon to get the hair you want! Every time i have ever gone to a salon they have not produced good results. I am friends with licensed cosmetoligists and they have taught me many things.
It is almost impossible not to damage your hair in some way, but that doesnt mean the damage is going to be so obvious that its going to fall out or look crazy!
If you go to Sally's you can get a pre-packaged bleaching kit with instructions and everything you need.
After you bleach the black, you can go over the bleached portion with the desired color that you want!
It worked for me, hope this helps |
