    1. Receding or thinning at the hair line, especially to the sides of the forehead.
    2. Thinning at the back of the head.

    I'm sure you've seen these signs on balding guys.

    Go spend a couple of hours in a local mall on the second floor, look down at guys heads as they walk by. You will soon see the different stages of male pattern baldness.
