HELP: Going from Black Hair to Brown Hair

Ok, firstly, Id like to apologies as I realise there are many topics on this forum about this, however, they have only confused me more, as some say that it is not possible to do it without bleaching, and some say that there are hair dye removal products that can do it.

I naturally have dark brown hair. I then dyed my hair a tinted red colour which looked pretty cool. I then decided to dye it black (permanent) nearly 2 months ago, which I got bored of quickly (was meant to be a blue black, but the blue quickly went).

I want to dye my hair again back to brown. Is there any way of doing? I really would prefer to do it myself rather than go to a salon.

Any advice given will be greatly appreciated.
x

well i just dyed my hair dark chocolate brown,it turned out black cuz i left the dye in too long.i tryed the dish soap thing and the silver shampoo but that didnt work.what i think im gonna do to fix my hair is dye my hair with a light brown mabe even 2,then waight a week or so then dye it a bit darker, and definitly not leave the dye in 4 more than the box says to,and also when ur buying the dye make sure u cheak the side of the box,im sure u know this already but it will show u what colour ur hair will b in the end dapending on what colour ur hair is,i found that nice and easy in a wihte box workes really good cuz its not a cream and it comes with a condishiner in a blue bottle,it makes ur hair feel so healthy, shinny, soft, not greasy, not dry,and before i dyed it,my hair was really frizzy and dry,it only took like just more than 10 min to straighten my hair,it took like 40 min before i used that conditioner, and remember when ur dyeing ur hair darker leave it in 4 what ever the box says but if ur dyeing it lighter double the time unless it feels uncomfortableive wasted soooo much money on dye,but whatever u do dont bleach it,ur hair will be soooooo damaged!!!!!!!

If your planning on going black and already have dark hair or light hair, i would recomend buying a cheap dye.
I naturaly have light brown hair and wanted to dye it black so i bought the cheapest one and it lightened up and back to my natural color with in a month or two, without the skunk look.
It gave me a chance to experiment with my looks with out to much damage. but i would recommend a soft black jet black can damage yur hair.

You really want to go to a salon to get it out. Otherweise you may end up accidentaly bleaching your hair!
