Having problem while colouring my black hair

Hi! It's Nimmi. My hair colour is completely black. I wanted to highlight my hair with brown colour. But when I used light brown hair colour on my hair then the change of my hair colour hardly noticable. It's still almost black. I think I should change the colour to blond first, then use brown colour. Can I use fairness bleach cream on my hair to do that? Is it risky? And if it is, then how? I'll be glad if anyone can help.

Using a box of light brown color will not make black hair lighter. Color doesn't lift color. In order to make your hair light brown, your hair would have to be pre-lighten with hair bleach, and then the color you want is applied.

Thanks. But can I use facial bleach cream on hair or is it risky?

I do not recommend using skin bleach on hair. To go from black to light brown hair, you will need to lighten your hair with (hair bleach) to a level that is lighter than the color you are trying to achieve.
