Hair too dark

I've been using Natural Instincts for quite some time. The shade was getting to red for me so I wanted to go back to brown. Used a 'Tweed' shade & ended up way too dark. It's a semi-permanent color but I hate it! It's too flat & drab. I'm 52 years old and it's too aging to have it this dark. I actually look younger than my age so I REALLY don't like this!!! I'm seeing the Prell tips & I've used baking soda before.

Since this isn't permanent will one of these tips work for this problem? I see "PrettyLady' is a 'pro'. Do you have any suggestions?

Semi-permanent color lasts about 4-6 weeks and fades gradually back to the natural shade. You can use prell or a clarifying shampoo with a few drops of Dawn dish detergent to help strip the color. If it doesn't help, let me know and I will give you some more advice.
