| It's call a Double Process. The active ingredient in the bleaching process is peroxide. Peroxide comes in different strengths "volumes". The salons rarely use peroxide over forty volume because is can cause damage to the hair as well as the scalp. I really don't know the strength of peroxide your friend used, or what shade she was trying to achieve. But if her scalp was burned during the process, then she should go see a physician immediately. I do not recommend using any hair dyes until the scalp is completely healed. When her scalp is healed, it's extremely important that you apply a conditioning treatment a week before you add the toner. Once her hair looks healthy you can deposit the toner. Be sure to use a neutral color that compliments her skin tone. |
