I would like to dye the hair in my pubic area from brown (with a touch of grey in it) to platinum (yellowish blonde hair - sort of like Gwen Stefani's). How can I do this on my own. It is embarrassing for me to get this done professionally so any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys (i mean women).

In order to go from dark hair to platinum blonde, it will require a double process. You will need to bleach your pubic hair with bleach (hydrogen peroxide) and then a toner have to be applied to give you your desired color. Products containing bleach and ammonia can cause severe irritation to the pubic area. I recommend getting it done professionally at the salon. If you plan to do it yourself, be sure to use caution.
