burgandy color to med brown

Hello there,

My sister wants to dye her burguany red hair to a medium brown with blonde highlights. What is the best way to do this. Use a color remover than color/highlights. Or should i do a heavy foil and use a tonor in a medium/ash brown then do the highlights? her hair is pretty healthy. Before she did the burgundy she had the medim brown (close to natural color) and blonde highlights.

I doubt a colour remover will get rid of all the colour. But could be worth a try.

What I'd do is first do the highlights, and once they're processing you apply the ash brown on the rest of the hair.

Red Is The Hardest Color To Remove. I've Been A Stylist For 14 Years And Have Seen Neumerous People Attemt This And Ruin Their Hair. You Probably Will Not Be Able To Get The Red Out In One Processs Without Leaving Her Hair Extremely Damaged. You Could Try To Strip It Once To Lighten It A Bit And Slowly Work Towardds What She Wants But I Honestly Don't Recommend You Try It Because Of The Possibility Of Hydrolizing It. If You Want To Do Something This Extreme It Really Is Worth The Money To See A Pro...
