    Brown hair dyed & turned bright orange mess
    Hi,

    I am african american and my natural hair color is dark brown. It is natural (no chemicals). I got my hair dyed with permanent color and it turned a very bright orange/red. I would rather not go back to the salon. I want to try to darken it (tone it down) by using a dark brown semi-permanent dye. Will this work?? Thanks!

    You can try it and find out, but I am not sure if it may turn out weird or worse than it is. I would suggest finding another salon to color your hair and fix the problem. I don't know if your being african american has anything to do with it, but I don't know why a dye would turn your hair orange/red unless it was more like a bleach than a dye..

    Good luck with your hair, I hate when salons do this kind of thing to people, it's so mean.
