I currently have blonde hair and I dyed it 2 weeks ago. I decided that I want to get my original hair color back which is brunette. Do you guys have an ideas that would work in order for the hair dye to come out faster or for my roots to come out faster?
1. The blonde dye won't come out. Basically, you've lightened the hair. As the color fades, it will become yellow. It won't go back to brown (at least not by fading).
2. To get back to brown, you will either have to let it grow our, or you'll have to dye the hair brown. Be aware that most brown dyes will cause blonde hair to take on a greenish cast. You'll have to pre-dye the hair with a red, or add a little bit of red into the brown color in order to counteract the green. Of course, this calls for strand tests to get the amount of red correct.
3. After you do dye it back (this is called a "tintback"), you will have some difficulty with fading. You may have to re-dye it in a few months.
4. In spite of claims to the contrary, vitamins won't make hair grow faster -- unless you have some sort of vitamin deficiency. In fact, nothing that is currently available will make your hair grow faster than it will naturally (about half an inch a month).
