    Bleach damaged hair
    Hello there,
About a year ago I decided I wanted to be blond. Of course, my natural hair color is dark brown so I had to bleach it. Well, stupid me, I didn't buy enough of the mixture so it ended up all blotchy. My mother-in-law came to help me. She bought some blonde dyes that don't require bleach to even it out without damaging. But the result, though even, it was an aweful "yellow". So my friend thought that all I needed on top of the yellow was a color. So I picked a beautiful blonde color that actually made it look awesome. Thing is that after 3 weeks the color faded and I needed to color again.
So after a year I decided to go back to brown. Picked a color, dyed it, and it was awesome... but 1 week later I could already see the bleached yellow blonde. What can I do to fix it? Is there a way to condition my hair, so permanent hair dye stays longer. My hair is so damaged I don't know what else to do... I've conditioned it with every single treatment there is, but hairdye does not stay. And I realized lately that I've lost some hair (which all my hair is medium length, this some of the hairs on the top of my head look like the been chopped off at an inch).
Thanks so much... and help. I read everywhere online, and, of course, they talk about hair color gone wrong (which is an understatement in my case), but nobody talks about what to actually do, except of paying specialized hair colorists to fix color problems.
Thanks!! I'll be waiting for an answer.

Your hair is porous from the bleaching process, which can cause the color to fade or not hold. Try doing a deep conditioning treatment at least twice to correct some of the damage. If the color still doesn't hold, you may need to go to the hair salon. The hairstylist can apply a filler and then apply the selected color.

You need to think logically hun - When you dye your hair from brown to blonde using a bleach what happens - It goes dark orange, orange, dark yellow, yellow, white - then it disintigrates - that is what bleach does - So leave the Bleaching to the professionals -

When you bleach hair you are stripping all the natural colours out so when you want to go back to the dark colour you need to put them colours back into the hair - This is called PRE-PIG -

You were lucky that when you put on the darker colour your hair never went green or karki

What you need to do is add a colour that had a red tone to it - the red in the tone will add all the colours that have been stripped out of the hair when you bleached and high lifted it.

Try and Vitamin Spray which is made from Indola - It is a fantastic treatment and can be put into the hair every time you wash it = the spray will replace all the lost porosity in the hair - or like prettylady said do a intesive mask conditioner on the hair every week - Put it on whe you sitting in the bath so the steam opens up the cuticles and penitrates the cortex.

    Good luck mate

I had the same problem. You need to go to a salon and have them fix it, otherwise you are going to end up with some strange colored hair. Not to mention how dried out your hair will be. After I had my hair fixed by a pro it is soft, shiny and back to NORMAL lol. Good luck!
