applying own hair extensions

Well i am after hair extensions. Heard the best way to apply them is kind of weaving then a loop thing...hmm, i dunno. Not gluing, cliping or heating. Apparently you can do it yourself/or a friend, and it is pretty sucessful.
If any one can help me out, tell me what it's called, how its done in detail, or where to find out how its done.
Also i want real hair, where is a good place online to find it?
Thanks, please someone reply
Renee

Weaving is a process where a corn row or track is created around the head and close to the scalp. Extension hair is sewn on the tracks. Your own hair lies over the tracks for a natural look. Looping is when you twist sections of hair around your index finger and you pull the twisted hair throught the loop whick looks like a knot.

Real hair (human hair) comes in many different textures and grades. You must research the different types of hair used for hair extensions. I recommend that you visit the salon or a store that sell human hair, it will help you to select the extensions that's best for you.
